Surprise

Well I am officially booked to go to England on Feb 16Th with Jeannie. She is staying for 2 1/2 weeks and I am staying for a month, returning March 17Th. I am looking forward to it but of course I worry about my family. It would be a dream come true to be able to take all the kids and go with Howie....but...$$$$$$$ :(
Today I had something awesome happen-I got on Face Book and had a friend request from someone I thought I didn't know. As I looked into it a little closer I realized that it was my oldest brother Bruce's only daughter Laura. I saw Laura when she was 1 year old and I was in England with Matt in 1985 but that was it. Her 'mum' Jackie remarried and I lost touch with her, but she is part of my family and I've often wondered about her. So, needless to say it was almost surreal seeing someone that has the same physical characteristics as my children yet had grown up on the other side of the world. Wow. We IM'd for about 2 hours, my first 'conversation' with her. She asked if I was going to the UK, and I just do happen to be going haha. I can't wait to see her:)
